I Doubt Haye vs Povetkin Happens

A fight does not happen between Alexander Povetkin (21-0, 15 KOs) and current WBA champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KOs),said The former world heavyweight champion of the the WBA, Nikolai Valuev (50-2, 34 KOs).

Challenger Ruslan Chagaev doesn't receive approval by British Association to fight with David Haye then Povetkin, who is ranked at #2 by the WBA, will have the bright chances to face Haye on May 21. Chagaev's link to Hepatitis B will likley prevent him from being able to face Haye in England.

Valuev doesn't see Haye-Povetkin happening because the advantage will be too far in Haye's favor.

"This battle could take place, however, it is likely going to be staged in England, and you have to understand that everything will be stacked against Alex if that happens. Therefore, I have serious doubts about whether the fight between Haye and Povetkin will actually take place," Valuev said.

Haye still hopeful

Hope of fighting both Klitschko brothers has not been let down by boxer David Haye before he retires and say that he may just have to settle for Wladimir.

He is sticking by his plan to retire from the sport when he turns 31, but is still hoping for one last swansong,The WBA heavyweight champion told a Ringside special.

David shows his interest to fight with Wladimir Klitschko, who has the IBF and WBO belts and defends them both against Dereck Chisora in April.

To face Vitali is also my dream says the boxer,"In an ideal world, if I could have my little crystal ball and change people's opinions and minds and get Wladimir's people to do what I want them to do it would be Wladimir in the summer, then Vitali in September or early October," he told Ringside.

"But that's in an ideal world - and we don't live in an ideal world.

"In a realistic world, I have a mandatory challenge first. Whether that's (Ruslan) Chagaev or (Alexander) Povetkin, I wish I could give you an answer who it could be, but I don't know myself.

"Then I would fight in September or October against Wladimir. If he wants it, let's do it - I've said I would still be willing to do it."

David Haye Hurricane of Hype!

David Haye has made a career of hyping himself up as the next great serious weight champion, but has yet to deliver the goods.

On a previous occasion in the past, before a fight with one of the Klitschko brothers, he turned up to the press conference in a specially made T-shirt with him holding up both the Klitschko’s heads.

The fight sold out in no time, which proves David Haye knows how to sell a fight, but not how to make one. He pulled out of that fight with an supposed back injury, and since then Haye has not been able to effectively negotiate a fight with either Vitali or Vladimir, in spite of supposedly being offered 50/50 splits.

After the latest effort to come to an accord broke down, this time with Vladimir Klitschko, David Haye was irate, stating that Vladimir Klitschko would only be memorized for not fighting the great David Haye. Well I’ve got news for David Haye, he will be the one that will be memorized for not fighting either of the Klitschko brothers.

The klitschko brothers have been the most control champions in recent memory, and have established great skill and professionalism in the ring. On the other hand, David Haye has established a lot of hot air and not much else.

David Haye camp dismiss Wladimir Klitschko claim

The consideration that the WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has been offered a date to fight Wladimir Klitschko has been dismissed by David Haye.

On Monday,Wladimir Klitschko said that he was waiting to see whether Haye would accept a fight on 2 July.

Ruslan Chagaev in England in May has been decided to fight with Haye at an undecided venue.

"I haven't heard from their camp since December," Booth told BBC Sport.

Klitschko's next scheduled title defence, against Britain's Dereck Chisora has been criticized by Booth.

"Wladimir has got to stop deceiving boxing fans and not take on 14 fight novices," he said.

Meanwhile, Klitschko told BBC Sport: "I think after talking so much nonsense, he [Haye] has to show up in the ring.

"He's been trying to be smart, but eventually he's put himself in the corner. And he's talking about legacy? I don't see any legacy with him," he said.

"I know the British fans are looking forward to this fight and I'm looking forward to satisfying the British fans to fight David Haye," he added.

"I'm right here, and I'm confirming that 2 July is the date for the fight - either David Haye takes it or he leaves the whole thing."

Klitschko also denied a disagreement over money was preventing the fight from taking place.

"We are agreed on the money so we split everything 50-50, but money is not an issue right now," he said.

The Ukranian also admitted that he is not bothered whether the fight takes place in the UK or not, saying "it doesn't matter".
